Galaxy Pearl 1

Each Galaxy Pearl is a one-of-a-kind micro world, composed of hand-made 14k gold celestial bodies orbiting lustrous freshwater pearls.

Blister pearls develop attached to the inside of a mollusks shell. I did not add the pearl to the background, a wonderful little mollusk did that for me! What I did was turn it into a delicate celestial scene by adding touches of recycled 14k gold and a gorgeous, flashy blue moonstone orbiting the ringed planet. The pendant hangs from an oval bale and is backed with a layer of black resin to reinforce the shell.
